Michael Holter is an artist who primarily works in watercolor and oil.
His figurative watercolors are gaining attention from collectors and jurors as these paintings have been selected for numerous purchase and prize awards.
Michael’s use of color and the rich fluid nature of his watercolor treatment create a loose and spontaneous appearance while retaining an accurate representation of his subject. These subjects are often common people — ranchers, cowboys, passers-by on the street.
Michael has been painting and creating art for more than 30 years and besides his fine art, he is an award-winning graphic designer having contributed to the success of hundreds of businesses and non-profits.
Michael has a Bachelors Degree in Art and taught art to secondary students for seven years. He also has a Masters Degree in Visual Communication. Michael is married to Cyndy and they have four grown children and eight grandchildren.
